Website redesign

Website redesign for small businesses.

Your website should bring customers in, not send them away. I rebuild slow, dated or broken websites so they load fast, work on phones and are easier to find on Google.

  • Faster: pages that appear in seconds, even on mobile data.
  • Built for phones: clear text and buttons that are easy to tap.
  • Easier to find: clear page titles, structure and the technical basics Google reads.

Signs

Signs your website needs a redesign

It’s slow

If a page takes more than a few seconds on a phone, many visitors leave before it appears.

It breaks on phones

Text is too small, buttons sit too close together, or parts of the page slide off the screen.

Customers can’t find you

Missing page titles and descriptions, or a structure search engines can’t read.

It looks out of date

An old design makes a good business look less trustworthy than it really is.

You can’t change it

You’re tied to a website builder, or the person who built it is no longer around.

Built with AI or a template

Vibe-coded and template sites often look fine at first, then break when something changes.

Fix or redesign?

Not every website needs a full rebuild

I’ll tell you honestly which one your site needs.

Website rescue

I find what’s wrong and fix it, and keep the rest. Good when the design still works but something doesn’t: speed, a form, the mobile layout or Google.

Full redesign

A new design and a clean rebuild that keeps your domain and the content that works. Good when the site is dated, slow throughout or hard to change.

Not sure which? The free website check shows where your site stands in about 30 seconds.

What you keep

A new website without starting from zero

  • Your domain name: your web address stays the same.
  • Content that works: your text, photos and reviews come across, tidied where needed.
  • Your place on Google: I keep page addresses where possible and redirect the old ones, so links and search results don’t break.
  • Full ownership: you own the finished website and its code.

How it works

From your old site to the new one

  1. Free check and chat

We look at your current site together and talk about what’s not working.

  2. Fixed written quote

You get the price, what’s included and the timeline in writing.

  3. Redesign and build

You approve the new design, then I build it and move your content across.

  4. Launch with redirects

The new site goes live, with the old addresses pointing to the new pages.

Questions

Good to know.

How much does a website redesign cost?

A redesign is priced like a new website, from £290 for a one-page site. After a look at your current site, I send a fixed price in writing before any work starts.

Will I lose my Google ranking?

A careful redesign protects it. I keep page addresses where possible, redirect the old ones and keep the content that already ranks. Nobody can promise rankings, but these steps avoid the usual drops.

Can you redesign a WordPress, Wix or Squarespace site?

Yes. I rebuild it as a fast, hand-coded website and move your content across, so you’re no longer tied to the builder.

How long does a redesign take?

A smaller site usually takes 1–2 weeks; larger sites take about 5–8 weeks. I’ll agree the timeline with you before work begins.

Can you look after it afterwards?

Yes. Website maintenance starts at £20 a month and covers monitoring, backups and small changes, depending on the plan.
