The brief
Calculating materials by hand was slow and easy to get wrong
Working out the exact quantities of concrete, timber and screws for every pergola job by hand took time, and a small slip could turn into a costly mistake. The goal was a tool that shows the whole pergola in 3D and gives the numbers behind it straight away.
