Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 August 2026
These terms apply when you work with Amethyst Nexalune, a UK-based web design and development business run by Anasztázia. They cover website builds, web app builds, the ongoing Care Plan, and the other services listed on this site. The short version: we'll be clear about what you're getting and what it costs, you own your own content and domain, and results depend on more than the website alone.
By paying a deposit or asking us to start work, you're agreeing to these terms.
Quotes and starting work
We'll give you a written quote for the work, including what's included and the price. A quote is valid for 14 days unless we say otherwise. Work starts once you've accepted the quote and paid the deposit.
Prices and payment
Prices for websites and web apps start from the amounts listed on the Services page — final price depends on scope. A deposit of 20% of the project price secures your slot and starts the work; the balance is due before the site goes live, unless we've agreed a payment plan in writing.
The Care Plan is an optional, ongoing maintenance service billed monthly (or annually, at ten months' price for the full year) and covers whatever's listed for your tier — uptime monitoring, backups, security scans, and content swaps, among other things. It starts once your site goes live and continues for as long as you're on the plan.
Prices are in pounds sterling (or forints for Hungarian clients, where noted). We're not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added — if that changes, we'll tell you before it affects you.
What's included, and what isn't
Your quote lists what your package includes — page count, features, and revision rounds. Anything beyond that (extra pages, extra functionality, ongoing content updates outside a Care Plan, and so on) is quoted and agreed separately before we do it. A booking system is a standalone package with its own pricing (see the Services page), quoted and billed separately from a website or web app package.
What we need from you
To build your site, we need your business information, content, images, and your sign-off along the way. If we're waiting on these, the timeline moves back accordingly. You confirm that any material you give us is yours to use, or that you have permission to use it.
Your content and your domain
Your business content, images, and domain belong to you. If we register or manage a domain on your behalf, it stays clearly yours, and you're free to take your content and domain elsewhere if you ever leave.
The underlying code, templates, and any reusable components we build stay ours — you're licensed to use them for your own site for as long as you need it.
Hosting and the Care Plan
If your site is hosted or maintained by us as part of a Care Plan, that continues for as long as you're subscribed. If you cancel, we'll help you move the site elsewhere where possible. If a Care Plan payment is missed and stays unpaid after a reminder, we may pause the related services until it's brought up to date.
Third-party services
Your site may connect to other services — booking tools, payment providers, email platforms, analytics, and so on. These are run by other companies under their own terms and pricing, which we don't control. We set them up and connect them, but we're not responsible for their availability or their charges.
Timelines
Any timescale we give is an estimate — see the Services page for typical ranges per package. Delays usually come from waiting on content, so the more complete your information up front, the faster it goes.
Results
A well-built website and clean technical SEO give your business somewhere convincing for people to land and get in touch. We can't promise a set number of enquiries, a particular search ranking, or guaranteed results — those also depend on factors outside the website itself.
Liability
We take care over our work, but we don't accept liability for lost profits or other indirect losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you've paid us for the work in question. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a project before work starts, and we'll refund anything you've paid. Once work has started, the deposit covers the time already spent and isn't refundable. If a stage of work has been completed, that stage is payable.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our services change. The version that applies to your project is the one in place when you accepted your quote. The date at the top shows when this page last changed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
